Introducing the Inaugural RUNWAY ASIA at NYFW

 

This September, China Fashion Collective and College Daily are set to redefine the runway at New York Fashion Week with the Runway Asia initiative. In a rigorous selection process, only thirty independent designers whose work capture the spirit of contemporary Asia, will earn the spotlight and an exclusive invitation to showcase their work at NYFW. 

 

NYFW – A Global Stage

 

NYFW tolls the opening bell for each season’s advent of major international fashion weeks, setting the tone for the month.  It is a dynamic platform where trends are born and the future of fashion takes shape, attracting the industry’s top talents and visionaries from around the world. This season, "Runway Asia" promises to provide full curatorial and logistical support, including state-of-the-art venues, professional models, and comprehensive media coverage, ensuring every designer receives the moment they deserve.

 

Exclusive Selection

 

Participation is prestigious and limited to thirty designers who will convey their creative narratives and cultural heritage on a world-class stage.

Our mission is to elevate the visibility and influence of our designers, creating a ripple effect across the global fashion landscape.

 

Call for Designers

 

We invite designers who are ready to narrate their stories through collections that resonate with themes of innovation and cultural richness. Independent designers with original designs incorporating Asian elements are invited to apply. Selected designers will present 1, 3, or 5 original outfits based on their thematic choice — Heritage Reimagined, Modern Vanguard, or Classic Couture. The runway show will take place at NYFW between September 6th to September 11th, 2024, and will be a celebration of fashion’s vibrant future.
